Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Staff Specialist
Bendigo Health is seeking a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, to join our vibrant and growing Women and Children’s services.
Bendigo is one of Australia’s fastest growing communities and over the next 5 years will be constructing a new acute hospital; the largest such construction project in Victoria’s history.
The Women and Children’s services has two accredited RANZCOG training positions and is staffed 24 hours per day by junior medical staff (HMO’s and registrars).
The Obstetrician and Gynaecologist will be expected to:
• Provide Specialist Obstetrical and Gynaecological services at allocated times.
• Participate in an equitable manner in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology on-call roster.
• Conduct ward rounds and patient reviews Monday-Friday as relevant for the ongoing management of all patients under care and as clinically indicated.
• Conduct weekend ward rounds when on-call to assess and manage relevant Obstetrics and Gynaecology cases.
• Participate in the supervision and training of Registrars/HMOs as relevant
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities (including audits) performed on behalf of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological services.
• Undertake additional duties as agreed; in particular in relation to dedicated Colposcopy Clinics.
